I would like to immediately warn you against the “BOARD vs SKI” argument, this is not about that. So here it is. I lived for 15 years in a northern town with the proud name of Kirovsk. I’ve been riding GL since 2nd grade, I tried snowboarding and didn’t like it, the freedom of sensations is not the same :3. Remembering about adrenaline, from the air, again, for me adrenaline is when the skis are parallel to the slope, the speed is under 110 km/h and you understand that the ability to brake normally may not be enough 🙂 On the board everything is probably different.
Why am I writing… I just wanted to brag. In Khibiny, the tourist season begins in March, normal skiing until mid-late May (without freezing rain, lol). In my opinion, the best time is the end of March – the beginning of April, there are no more storms, snow and sun, a tan that you won’t wash off in a year! Glamorous ladies have recently been renting pits in the snow to sunbathe on a sunny day.
I don’t know about you, but for me the time spent on the mountain, in deep snow, is the most remarkable thing that remains in my memory from childhood.
